We opened our shop in 2006 in the delightful medieval village of Dunster in Somerset, with its famous Yarn Market and National Trust castle.
The shop is in the former "Horse & Crook", an ancient Dunster inn with a unique pub name. We love the name and also wanted to preserve it for its historical importance (but we didn't want to run a pub!). Inside the shop you can see the magnificent original sixteenth-century fireplace.
We feel that our stock too doesn't look out-of-place here - classic, natural and functional items, beautifully displayed. We have also become known for our mix of new and vintage items, which complements the historic setting.
You won't find any pre-packaged items here, but you will find many eco-friendly and natural products, many sourced locally and in the UK.
We are open:
Mon-Sat 10.30-5.00
Sun 11.00-4.00
Please note, during September we are sourcing lots of new stock and will be CLOSED on Sunday 5th, Monday 6th and EVERY monday in September only. Open 7 days a week as usual in October when, later in the month, we reopen our popular Festive room, showing our new Winter and Christmas collections.
Dunster is a delightful, quiet place for some relaxed Christmas shopping - we look forward to seeing you soon!
